Is this subtitle generator really free?
Yes. Generating and translating subtitles is free with no limit on videos or minutes, and you don't need an account. Corbeia can be free because the AI runs on your own computer.
Does it add a watermark to my video?
No. Your video is never changed. The free subtitle files include one short "Made with Corbeia" line at the very start and end, which Corbeia Pro removes.
Can it translate subtitles?
Yes. Choose a language under Translate to and you get translated subtitles and bilingual subtitles (original + translation) along with the original.
Which languages does the subtitle generator support?
It recognizes speech in 35+ languages automatically and can translate subtitles into any of them, including English, Spanish, Portuguese, French, German, Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Hindi and Arabic.
Can I use the subtitles on TikTok, Instagram or YouTube?
Yes. Upload the SRT file to YouTube directly. For TikTok, Instagram Reels and Shorts, import the SRT into your editor (CapCut, Premiere Pro or DaVinci Resolve) and export the video with captions.
How long does it take to generate subtitles?
It depends on your computer. On a desktop with a graphics card in Chrome or Edge it is fastest. The speech model downloads once on first use, then starts instantly.
Do I need to sign up?

Can I generate subtitles for a long video or a whole movie?
Yes. There is no length limit. Long videos take a while because the AI runs on your computer, and progress is saved every 30 seconds of audio, so nothing is lost if the tab closes.
