How do I convert MP3 to text?

Is this MP3 to text converter free with no limit?
Yes. There is no minute allowance, no file count limit and no length limit, and no sign-up. The transcription runs on your own computer, so there is no server cost to pass on to you.
How long does it take to transcribe an MP3?
It depends on your computer. With a reasonably recent graphics card, Chrome and Edge transcribe several minutes of audio per minute; on the processor alone it takes longer. A progress bar shows how much is left.
Can I transcribe a long MP3, like a two-hour podcast?
Yes. Long files are saved as they go, so if the tab closes you can continue where it stopped. For many hours of audio, the free Windows app is faster.
Is my MP3 uploaded?
No. The MP3 is decoded and transcribed inside your browser. Nothing is sent to us or to any AI provider.
Can I get the MP3 text with timestamps?
Yes. You also get SRT and VTT files with a start and end time for every line.
Which languages work?
